How I get a quick refresh with Waterl
This post is sponsored by Waterl<ss Haircare! As always, all opinions stated and expressed are my own. Shoot days are my favorite days but they can be a bit hectic driving around trying to find good locations and hauling bags of clothes to get the multiple shots. It usually starts by getting all my clothes styled and ready the night before. In the morning I focus more on my hair and makeup. I recently cut my hair short which has been the best thing. It definitely cut styling time by half. On shoots days I’m usually in a hurry so no time to wash my hair. Waterl<ss Haircare has been…
Achieve A Quick holiday Glam Before Your Zoom Call
Holidays are a little different this year. Just because we are away from our loved ones doesn’t mean we can’t connect and enjoy Thanksgiving traditions like we did last year. I am personally excited for a few upcoming zoom gatherings I have scheduled with family and friends. This Thanksgiving we still plan on celebrating at home, cooking and sharing with our loved ones through video chat. I have to admit that the one good thing of video chats is that you don’t have to get full ready. Or that you can be ready in just 10-15 minutes. I spend a lot of times at home in super comfy sweats and…
How I Keep My Skin Smooth and Soft throughout the year with Dove Bodywash
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dove, All opinions are 100% mine. It feels like this year summer flew by. In the blink of an eye fall is upon us and its time for colder and drier months. Living in California I have always had to give my skin extra love because without proper care my skin gets cracked and dull. No thank you! I’m so excited to partner with Dove to share with you how I keep my skin looking smooth and healthy through the coming winter months. Ive been using Dove Bodywash for many years because its not only the #1 dermatologist recommended body wash…
Waterless Dry Shampoo & Conditioner
This is a sponsored blog post written by me on behalf of Waterl<ss. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. There are a few items I can’t go without packing when we leave on a trip or stay-cation and one of them is Dry Shampoo & Conditioner. This past week we left to go to Santa Monica for a long weekend of fun but also work. On these trips we usually run around shooting from location to location and sometimes have a 6-7 am wake up call to avoid crowds. Who has time to wash their hair at 6 am? One of my biggest hair…
A weekend in Santa Monica
About a week ago I got to spend an entire weekend in Santa Monica and you bet we tried to cram as much humanly possible. Well, because its beautiful Santa Monica. Here is a little recap of where to stay, where to eat and what to do. Where we stayed: We got to stay in at the beautifully renovated Oceana Santa Monica and let me tell you it could have not been in the most perfect location. The hotel is right of Ocean Avenue. It consist of 70 suites all luxuriously decorated while still maintaining a very welcoming coastal vibe to them. You can pretty much bike to the Santa…
Valentines OOTD ideas
Its that time of the year. The month of endless pink hearts and red roses. The month of cheesy hallmark cards and candy grams. I used to enjoy Valentines day way more when I was younger. At my age it feels more like a very consumer driven interpretation of love day. But love it or hate we simply can’t ignore it. Gabe and I personally do not celebrate, because seriously going to a restaurant on February 14th is probably the worst idea. I do love to have an excuse to get together with my girl friends and do a little Galen-tines. Here are some fun casual Valentines sweaters and Tees…
Practicing Self-care and Discovery with Pantene
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pantene. All opinions are 100% mine. Why self-care? Do you ever feel like time flies by? This is exactly how I felt this past year. My weekdays were spent working my full-time job, running my social media account and trying to fit everything else around it. On a regular day, I would spend hours between my laptop and my phone and end up feeling tired and stressed. In the new year I want to focus on making more time for self-care. Pantene’s new Miracle Moisture Boost Collection with Rose Water has played a big part in helping me discover…
I said YES in Oahu, Hawaii
On Monday December 9th 2019 we picked up our rental and headed to North Shore Oahu. This was about to become my favorite day in Hawaii. This post is not a suprise post by now all our family and friends know we are engaged but I wanted to share with you a little more on the details of that amazing day. I was so stoked about getting a mini Cooper. The Island is full of Jeep rentals and we own a Jeep back home so I was so excited to get a fun little red convertible. Our day started late because we got to the rental place 30 minutes too…
Bloomingdales – Advanced Contemporary Shop
This is a sponsored blog post written by me. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. We made it Oahu, Hawaii finally and on this trip I wanted to bring along with me beautiful statement dresses. I usually plan my outfits to match by surroundings so you bet I did my research and pre-planned places to visit and shoot. While shopping for my trip I came across Bloomingdale’s Advanced Contemporary shop. This is exactly what I needed for this trip. The Advanced Contemporary Shop features elevated aesthetics and upcoming brands like Hemant and Nandita, Rococo Sand and WeWoreWhat. I love that it has such a…
Classics make a comeback
This is a sponsored blog post written by me. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. As cliche as it may sound classics never go out of style. This is the case with Reebok’s Classic Leather sneakers. The Reebok classic line always brings some nostalgia. I remember having a similar pair growing up and now they are back and better than ever. The Reebok classic have proven to withstand the test of time and I am so exited to pair them with all my favorite styles. I love pairing sneakers with dresses for a more casual yet elevated look or pairing with my favorite fall…
Catalina Island Trip
Living in California the fall transition is almost non existent. So with October upon us it means that beach getaways are still on the calendar. Last weekend we packed our bags and sailed off to Catalina Island via the Catalina Express. I had visited Catalina Island before but this trip was much more special because Gabe was coming with me and because we were going to spend the night. We took the Ferry from Long Beach, CA early morning Sunday and arrived within less than 2 hours. You can take the Ferry from Long Beach, San Pedro or Dana Point which makes it super easy and convenient. You can check…
Home away from home – A Staycation at the LAX Marriott
As you may know I live in Orange County but I spend most of my time in and out of LA trying to navigate through one of the worst traffic in the US. LA traffic is no joke but I love the city and my work requires me to be there. So staying in for the the weekend is the perfect idea and a guaranteed productive and fun weekend. This past weekend I had the opportunity to stay at the LAX Marriott Hotel. Gabe and I packed our bags and drove on a Friday night to LA. The hotel is conveniently located less than 1 miles from the Los Angeles…
Post Festival Hair Care
This is a sponsored blog post written by me on behalf of Pantene. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Festival Season has pretty much come to an end for me. As much fun as it was styling outfits and creating festival hair looks, the desert took a toll on my hair. Back to back weekends of festivals meant that my hair was exposed to so much sun and dry heat from the desert. Jumping from event to event also meant a lot of dry shampoo and other styling products in between washes. I came back home with my hair feeling dull, flat and damaged…
A Desert getaway to Scottsdale, AZ
So one of my goals for 2019 was to travel more. I am not talking necessarily about booking an international flight but to see more of the US even. I had never been to Scottsdale except that one time I passed by on my drive to Louisiana from California (Yeah crazy I actually did a cross country road trip solo a few years back but ill write about that another day). I stumbled upon the most beautiful hotel and of course I had to make it happen. January is my birthday month and it also happens to be MLK weekend so that means a long weekend. The drive to Scottsdale…
The Perfect Holiday Dress
The holidays are upon us and I am sure you will be attending either a work Christmas party, a gala, a wedding or ringing in the new year. I feel like every year I struggle with finding the IT dress or just one dress that will be a big hit at the next party. Maybe I overthink it and end up with way too many options and then can’t choose. I picked a few looks that are easy to style, fit the occasion and are all under $200.00 The Little Black Dress This beautiful lace dress is under $200 and it will be a classic for many more special occasions…
Getting back on track (P.1)
This past few months have been so busy and it has brought so many opportunities but it has also affected such a big part of my life, my wellness. A poor diet, constant stress and lack of sleep and exercise started taking a toll on my body. We think we are invisible and we go and go but one day our body nudges us and remind us that it cannot go on (that was last weekend for me). My lack of self-care has snowballed into more visible signs and symptoms; skin breakouts, digestive problems, insomnia, anxiety and weight gain. Exactly a week ago i decided it was time to get…
